How it works
No manual research, no spreadsheets to maintain. Here's exactly what happens behind every list we send you.
The process
Every list you receive has already been through this full pipeline — you just see the result.
01
We ingest every currently registered lobbying client directly from the state's public disclosure data — refreshed every morning, so newly filed registrations drop off the list automatically.
02
We identify the broader set of organizations that plausibly should have representation — trade associations, regulated businesses, and nonprofits pulled from public filings and industry directories.
03
We match the two lists against each other, accounting for messy real-world naming (abbreviations, punctuation, legal suffixes) so nothing slips through as a false match.
04
Every gap gets a lead score from 0–100 based on six weighted factors, so the highest-value prospects always land at the top of your list.
The scoring model
Every organization gets scored 0–100 so you know who to call first, not just who's unrepresented.
How directly a state agency can affect this organization — licensing, rate-setting, permitting.
What share of comparable organizations already have representation — a strong signal this one is behind.
How many active bills this session touch this organization's industry or subject area.
How much of the organization's revenue relies on government contracts, reimbursement, or approval.
Whether the organization can realistically afford to pay for representation, based on revenue size.
A live trigger — an active bill naming them directly, or a license renewal window coming up soon.
